This course will focus on the evaluation and management of children in the urgent care setting. We will discuss fever, pediatric-specific infections, and asthma in children. We will also speak about red flags for abuse, pediatric specific trauma (such as nursemaid’s elbow), pediatric head trauma and imaging, and how to approach pediatric patients with congenital conditions. We will all be ready to care for kids in urgent care after this lecture, even if the thought of an ill infant currently terrifies us!
