Determining exact signs and physical exam findings leave providers uncertain how to diagnose and treat pediatric patients. Through the use of ROME IV criteria, North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology recommendations, and clinical decision rules, you will learn how to identify common pediatric GI conditions and utilize differential diagnoses to guide your treatment plan and management. Determining when lab testing and radiography imaging is warranted, as well as identifying patients who need referral to the ED or GI specialty will be reviewed.
