Lou Ellen has been in and around healthcare for (gasp!) over 30 years – starting in a hospital, spending a decade in provider associations (including 6 years as UCA’s first CEO), then several years in Urgent Care operations (private startup, then health system-owned) and returned to the UCA CEO seat in 2020. Urgent Care is a perfect match for her with its entrepreneurial spirit and unwillingness to leave well enough alone. She loves developing organizations and people, making sense of chaos, and helping connect and leverage strengths.
