This session provides a first hand discussion of the four primary principles that should be considered when employing NP/PA providers.
Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants (NP/PA) play various parts in the urgent care arena. While some practices operate primarily with NP/PA providers, others are “physician only.” The decision to utilize NP/PAs as urgent care providers is an individualized one, based on the needs and goals of the practice. This session provides a first hand discussion of the four primary principles that should be considered when employing NP/PA providers: the most beneficial ROLEs, scope of practice REGULATIONS, issues with REIMBURSEMENT, and linking REVENUE to compensation.
