Participants will gain a better understanding of the definitions of medical misconduct.
​By attending the presentation, participants will gain a better understanding of the definitions of medical misconduct, the tools and processes used by New York’s medical board to detect and respond to misconduct, and the impact of misconduct findings on a practitioner. The presentation will discuss the causes of complaints against practitioners, how changes in healthcare may create new ways that patients view their interactions with practitioners, and discuss how practitioners can avoid misconduct charges and complaints about their practices.
