In light of the recent cybersecurity incident at Change Healthcare, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued a to healthcare providers yesterday. This notice addresses the significant financial and operational disruptions caused by the breach.

Resources from the following key insurers are included:

  • United Health Group
  • AmeriHealth Caritas
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Centene Corporation
  • Cigna Health
  • CVS Health
  • Elevance Health
  • Humana
  • Kaiser Permanente
  • Molina Healthcare

Please be assured that UCA stands in solidarity with you throughout this process and remains committed to advocating on your behalf.

UCA Commission on Diversity Seeks Pilot Organizations for Commendation

The UCA Commission on Diversity is seeking organizations to participate in the pilot of a new DEI Commendation.

This Commendation was created in order to reinforce a commitment to best practices and health equity, which requires systemic, complex, data driven outcomes. Because data often shows healthcare quality and outcomes are often worse for minorities, women, LGBTQ+, disabled, and those living in rural areas, UCA and the Commission on Diversity have created a new opportunity for Urgent Care organizations to be recognized for their commitment to addressing healthcare disparities by implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies.

The DEI Commendation acknowledges those who can demonstrate their ability to create an inclusive environment, while fostering equal opportunities, and embracing diversity in all its forms.

Applicants will submit evidence of compliance with no fewer than one initiative per core element demonstrating a commitment to health equity through clinical practices, operations and/or community outreach strategies.

Four Pillars of the DEI Commendation

  • Commitment
  • Action for Policy and Practice
  • Reinforce Partnerships
  • Enhance Workplace Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement

Now Open for Participation

UCA is inviting clinicians working in Urgent Care to participate in this anonymous and confidential compensation survey. Your participation gives employers benchmarks specific to the Urgent Care market allowing them to remain competitive and retain their clinician talent.

The survey includes questions on factors that influence compensation such as level of experience, education and geographic location. Additionally, it covers topics such as job satisfaction and current pain points.

Those who complete the survey receive access to the national-level results. At the completion of the survey, you will be re-directed to a separate form to request the results, upon release. Your survey submission and results request will not be connected, keeping your answers anonymous.
