The Advocacy Podcast Episode One is Live!

We’re excited to launch The Advocacy Podcast! Your new go-to source for what’s happening (and why it matters) in Urgent Care Advocacy. Whether you’re curious about federal policy or fired up about local issues, we’ve got something for you.

Episode 1 is out now, featuring Urgent Care leaders Selena Gurley and Gerry Cvitanovich! They’re helping us kick things off by diving into UCA’s current federal advocacy strategies, especially our work with CMS, and sharing their personal takes on why this work is so crucial for the future of our field.

🔥 Bonus: The next episode is already recorded and coming soon, featuring April Gillam from Solv Health, so keep an eye (and ear!) out!

These first two episodes focus on UCA’s federal strategy and help you get grounded in the big picture. After that, we’ll dive into everything from regional and grassroots efforts to broader key issues within Urgent Care that need ongoing attention and action. We’ll also keep you updated on major developments at the federal level as they unfold.

Download Updated Clinical Policies from the Clinical Response Committee

The Clinical Response Committee (CRC) of the Urgent Care College of Physicians is pleased to provide our members with policy revisions to the following two policies. They are to serve as templates that can be customized by clinical leadership in your organization to accommodate your practice and scope of care.

  • Vital Signs in Urgent Care
  • Red Flag Presentations in Urgent Care

The CRC is composed of volunteer physicians, physician assistants/ associates and nurse practitioners who are actively practicing or in leadership positions in Urgent Care medicine.  The Committee is chaired by Jasmeet Bhogal, MD, FCUCM.

The policies have been updated after a review of the current literature and discussion on its application to Urgent Care medicine and clinical outcomes.  The red flag and vital sign policy requirements for CAUCQ Accreditation were also taken into consideration in these updates.  Feedback is always welcome and can be submitted to: CUCM@urgentcareassociation.org

We thank our CRC volunteers for their commitment to excellence and the provision of clinical resources to our members.
