JUCM Welcomes Lindsey E. Fish, MD as Editor in Chief

We are excited to welcome Lindsey E. Fish, MD as the new Editor in Chief of JUCM – Journal of Urgent Care Medicine. Dr. Fish is the Medical Director of Denver Health’s Peña Urgent Care Clinic in Denver, Colorado.

As Editor in Chief, Fish will guide and expand JUCM’s clinical content to advance the practice and professionalism of Urgent Care medicine worldwide.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Fish to this important role and in celebrating the future of JUCM under her editorial guidance. 

SERUCA Call for Posters is Now Open!

SERUCA is now accepting proposals for poster presentations to be held at the 2nd Annual Conference being held at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, November 13-15, 2025.

Posters being accepted on clinical topics including case reports, research studies, community projects and outreach, health system science, and clinical science topics. This will be an in-person presentation, and an author is expected to be present on site 11/15/25. All presenters will be listed in the agenda. One “winner” judged on scientific rigor, organization and clarity, visual design, relevance, and engagement will win a $250 prize and will be published in the January issue of Urgent Caring.  All presenters will be entitled to conference admission on 11/15/25.

CME will be provided for clinical topics, please adhere to standards set forth by ACGME. Financial disclosure for ineligible companies is required. Charting New Paths in Uncontrolled Asthma: Expanding Access to Quality Care

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Analyze the efficacy of biologics in reducing asthma exacerbations in patients with moderate to severe asthma
