Urgent Care Association PAC (UCAPAC)
UCAPAC is an affiliate of the members of the Urgent Care Association; participation is entirely voluntary. The PAC is independent of any political organization, party or candidate. Administrative costs of the program are paid by the Urgent Care Association.

 

Purpose

UCAPAC, the Urgent Care Association Political Action Committee, is the only federal PAC exclusively dedicated to supporting and electing legislators who support Urgent Care industry goals and objectives. The PAC also provides support for UCA legislative activities including grassroots advocacy at the state and local level, management of federal and state lobbyists, and key contact networks.

Donating to UCAPAC

UCAPAC accepts contributions from eligible Urgent Care industry members and supporters who share common interests in electing state and federal candidates to political office. UCAPAC does not have a political party affiliation and its main purpose is to elect qualified candidates for federal office, and when legally permissible, state and local office.

Federal law prohibits organizations such as UCA from making political contributions to federal campaigns and elections. Political action committees, or PACs, that raise and contribute personal contriubutions from their members are created by organizations to support and endorse political candidates who represent their interests. Federal PACs are regulated by the Federal Election Commission (FEC).
UCAPAC is the bi-partisan political action committee of the UCA, which exists to help elect Urgent Care-friendly candidates to the U.S. Congress. By combining your contribution with thousands of other physicians, UCAPAC can continue to support federal candidates who support Urgent Care industry interests.
 
UCAPAC supports candidates who have demonstrated an understanding and willingness to fight for the issues most important to Urgent Care industry stakeholders, including, but not limited to: revenue cycle, price transparency, and expanded access to health care for all Americans.
 
Restricted class: UCA individual members, administrative and executive staff of corporate members and their families. A U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder). The contribution is made from personal funds, and funds are not being provided by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution. This contribution is made with a personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person. At least eighteen years old. Not a federal contractor. Most medical trade associations have political action committees. While UCA has an advocacy team that works on legislative and regulatory issues, UCAPAC helps to elect candidates that shape federal and state legislation, such as price transparency and fighting unnecessary taxes on Urgent Care.
