Jeannie Kenkare, DO, FCUCM is a distinguished Urgent Care Physician and President of Yale New Haven Health Urgent Care, formerly known as PhysicianOne Urgent Care. As a pioneer in the urgent care field, Dr. Kenkare founded Connecticut’s first privately owned full-service urgent care center in 2008, leading to the expansion of 28 locations across Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts. Her commitment to innovation has driven advancements in digital health, including the development of a cutting-edge 24/7 telemedicine platform that complements in-person care, improving patient access and convenience.
Dr. Kenkare played a critical role in the 2023 acquisition of PhysicianOne by Yale New Haven Health, a move that further solidified its position as a leader in urgent care. Throughout her career, she has championed a “patient first” approach, emphasizing high-quality care, clinical excellence, and financial performance.
In addition to her leadership role at Yale New Haven Health, Dr. Kenkare contributes to the future of healthcare by serving as an Assistant Clinical Instructor at Yale School of Medicine and by advising the Connecticut Legislature on healthcare policy. She is also an active member of the UCA’s Strategic Advisory Group and serves on the board of the North East Regional Urgent Care Association.
