Vision for the Future of Urgent Care and Core Purpose for UCA for the next 3-5 Years:
Urgent Care continues to evolve in response to the needs and expectations of the communities we serve. I believe the core purpose of UCA is to help navigate the rapidly changing expectations of our consumers, technology innovation, and the increased need for health care services, so that Urgent Cares continue to be a vital part of our health system. Over the next 3-5 years my hope is that more people are made aware of the incredible services Urgent Cares provide so that they are properly utilized over an ER. I also have great expectations for a revival of trust in the medical community, as I believe much of this was lost over the last 5 years. In addition, while UCA continues to focus on the reversal of acuity degradation and establish Urgent Care as a specialty, I believe there should be equal focus on the development of our teams to foster a culture of growth and development to help attract quality team members to combat the shortage in staffing.
Brief Biography:
I started my career as a Nurse Practitioner in 2018 and I quickly fell in love with the art of providing care within Urgent Care. I immediately saw the need for a bridge between Primary Care, specialists and the ER and found great satisfaction in providing that bridge for patients. In 2022 I was appointed to champion the culture across our centers and helped to facilitate a culture of excellence, teamwork, and growth. In 2023 I became the Clinic Director for our newest Center, and we have seen steady growth over the last two years. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to serve as a UCA Board Member because, as a Nurse Practitioner, I represent a large majority of the clinicians in Urgent Care. I believe my optimism and persistent pursuit of excellence will serve the UCA well. Urgent Care has a great future ahead!
