Steve has 30 years of healthcare management experience, including eight years in the managed care industry, five years with one of the largest health systems in the Gulf South, and twenty years working exclusively in urgent care joint-venture development and management. His background includes significant executive management experience with health systems, physician groups, and other healthcare organizations, and extensive experience in medical group management, site selection and development, managed care contract negotiations, and strategic planning.

Steve was the 2016-2017 Board President of the Urgent Care Association (UCA) and held roles as UCA Secretary and Chair of the UCA Education Committee. He received the 2019 UCA Lifetime Membership Award and is a Past-President of the Urgent Care Foundation. Most recently, at the 2024 UCA Convention, he received the Quality and Safety Award, recognizing his contributions to quality improvement and patient safety as a founding member of the Accreditation Committee. Steve also served on the boards of a multi-site rehabilitation company and an FQHC, is a member of the Medical Group Management Association, and served as an adjunct faculty member at Franciscan University. He earned both his undergraduate and M.B.A. from Louisiana State University (LSU).

Steve and his wife Shannon enjoy spending time with their family, especially their two grandchildren and dogs. They also love relaxing on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, following the LSU Tigers, and are proud supporters of the Woman’s Hospital’s BUST Breast Cancer campaign.
