Lee A. Resnick, MD is an accomplished healthcare executive, educator and Urgent Care thought leader.
Dr. Resnick most recently served as President and Chief Growth Officer for WellStreet Urgent Care, an Urgent Care development and management company focused entirely on health system integration of Urgent Care platforms. Dr Resnick was part of the founding management team when the company launched in 2012 which now operates 175 Urgent Care centers in partnership with 4 health systems. He retired in May, 2025.
Dr. Resnick also previously led the national effort to bring clinical excellence to the discipline of Urgent Care medicine. He served as the Editor-In-Chief of The Journal of Urgent Care Medicine until 2020, the discipline’s only peer-reviewed journal, and was editor of the Textbook of Urgent Care Medicine, its only comprehensive reference text.
Dr. Resnick was also a founding board member and past president of the Urgent Care Association (UCA), where he was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award. He writes frequently about the state of the Urgent Care industry and its role in healthcare delivery and policy.
