The Urgent Care Association (UCA) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The successful completion of the Antibiotic Stewardship Quality Improvement Project activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn a maximum of:
Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Participation in this CME activity includes sharing participant information with the ABIM, ABP and ABMS Boards via ACCME’s PARS and ABMS MOCAM.
This activity is scheduled to be completed September 30, 2023.
Goals: Participants will commit to antibiotic stewardship following a plan data collection, implementing stewardship efforts, and continuous feedback. Progress will be measured with a goal of demonstrating a decrease in inappropriate antibiotic prescribing, 9-mo out from the baseline, improving patient outcomes.
CME Participation: Providers must attend a minimum of (4) webinars during the 9-mo program; participate actively in the implementation of the selected intervention(s); participate in selected feedback mechanism to evaluate progress; complete activity evaluation component.
