Urgent Care Clinicians: Participate in Compensation Survey, Receive Data

Now open for participation

UCA is inviting clinicians working in Urgent Care to participate in this anonymous and confidential compensation survey. Your participation gives employers benchmarks specific to the Urgent Care market allowing them to remain competitive and retain their clinician talent.

The survey includes questions on factors that influence compensation such as level of experience, education, and geographic location. Additionally, it covers topics such as job satisfaction and current pain points.

Those who complete the survey receive access to the national-level results. At the completion of the survey, you will be re-directed to a separate form to request the results, upon release. Your survey submission and results request will not be connected, keeping your answers anonymous.

Nearly Half of Healthcare Workers Have Witnessed Discrimination Against Patients

In partnership with the Commonwealth Fund, the African American Research Collaborative (AARC) conducted a survey of 3,000 healthcare workers. Findings reveal that nearly half have witnessed discrimination against patients, and two-thirds said education, training and anonymous incident reporting could help reduce discrimination.

Rededication of Dee Chapman Fund to Assist UC Public Relations

Dee Chapman, the 2022 Becky Burress Unsung Hero Award Winner, was a huge advocate for Urgent Care and one of the most successful and influential people in the industry. She is greatly missed, especially by her past colleagues at Abbott, family and friends, but her legacy lives on with the UCF Dee Chapman Fund.

The Dee Chapman Fund enables essential public relations and awareness efforts for Urgent Care.

Join us as we celebrate Dee and many others at the Urgent Care Foundation Celebration, April 15.

UCA Urges CMS to Make Accelerated and Advanced Payments Following Change Healthcare Cyberattack

On February 21, 2024, Change Healthcare was affected by a cybersecurity attack. This attack created widespread disruption in the healthcare ecosystem, including Urgent Care centers that rely on timely reimbursements for the services they provide.

UCA has joined the American Medical Association (AMA), American Hospital Association (AHA) and other associations in sending a letter to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, urging them to make Accelerated and Advanced Payments available to all centers impacted by the Change Healthcare cyberattack immediately.

Marketing Automation: Increase Revenue & Outreach Consistency with Limited Resources

Join Upfront Healthcare as they dive into the most popular digital use cases for new patient acquisition and retention in Urgent Care….and pitfalls to avoid when choosing a CRM platform.

Urgent Care marketing teams are often small with limited capacity and have other responsibilities outside of traditional marketing (e.g., patient experience). Building and deploying consistent acquisition campaigns and patient outreach can be daunting and resource-intensive, even if you currently have Salesforce, HubSpot, or even Mailchimp.  CRM platforms can be expensive, and marketers often struggle to “tweak” their existing CRM to cater to the specific needs of Urgent Care and truly personalize effective communications. Most EMRs have limited, uniform capabilities to engage with existing patients related to a visit but have no ability to perform a new patient acquisition outreach or ongoing patient nurture campaigns.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the existing CRM vendor landscape and options available to Urgent Care centers
  • Obtain consistent marketing automation and outreach with a limited staff and budget
  • Evaluate a CRM platform pre-purchase to ensure it meets your needs for Urgent Care

Speakers:

  • Mike Gianfrancesco:  VP, Urgent Care
  • Lindsay Zimmerman:  VP, Patient Engagement & Activation

Perspectives on PrEP Care - DKB

The Urgent and Convenient Care Associations have partnered with DKBmed to offer you this educational activity. Today’s landscape of healthcare delivery reveals a shift towards on-demand care, with more patients seeking care in Urgent Care and convenient care settings. Many individuals do not have a regular source of health care, and they rely on this accessible form of healthcare. Unfortunately, people who do not have a regular source of healthcare may miss out on routine screenings and preventive health interventions. HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is our primary tool against HIV, but it remains underutilized among those most susceptible to HIV.

This dynamic infographic empowers Urgent Care and convenient care clinicians to stand on the frontlines of prevention. Start the activity to learn how PrEP can prevent HIV, safeguard the health of our communities, and create a healthier, more equitable future.
