UCA and UCF are working together to directly tackle your biggest challenges (staffing, payer negotiations, awareness efforts) and have accomplished a lot on behalf of the field of Urgent Care this last year. And we have big plans for 2025 and beyond – but the reality is, we need support to make it happen.
As detailed in a recent article in the Journal of Urgent Care Medicine, president-elect Donald Trump has nominated Janette Nesheiwat, MD as the next Surgeon General. With a background as medical director for UCA member organization CityMD, Nesheiwat brings valuable firsthand experience from the field of Urgent Care to the national healthcare conversation. Her work emphasizes the importance of accessible, immediate care, making her uniquely equipped to highlight Urgent Care’s critical role in public health.
President-elect Donald Trump has named Peter Lamelas, MD the next Ambassador to Argentina. As a lifetime Urgent Care Association member, Lamelas served as a UCA board member from 2008 to 2014 and as an Urgent Care Foundation board member from 2021-2022. Lamelas was chair of the Legislative Committee and has served on both the Certification Committee and the Accreditation Founding Committee. In 2016, he won UCA’s prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award. He founded MD Now Urgent Care in Florida.
From May 3-6 at the beautiful Hilton Anatole in Dallas, experience the unparalleled, hyper-focused education and connections that happen only at an Urgent Care Convention. So, as we continue Driving Change, let’s Evolve together.
And don’t forget to Celebrate with us! Come down to the Chantilly Foyer and Ballroom with your sparkles and boots on Monday, May 5, for the Urgent Care Foundation Celebration. We will Shoot for the Stars with friends, an auction, sparkles and drinks and dance to live music performed by The Diamond West Band.
Now is your chance to nominate fellow members of UCA to be recognized for their dedication and hard work while inspiring others to do the same.
Why nominate?
Nominations are due by January 13, 2025.
