Thank you to our Sexual Health Sponsors

STI Awareness Week, observed the second full week of April, is a vital opportunity to break the stigma around sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and promote prevention, testing, and treatment. Raising awareness and encouraging open conversations is an important part of encouraging individuals to take charge of their sexual health and reduce the spread of STIs.

A thank you to our sponsors, HealthTrackRx and Roche Diagnostics, for their commitment to advancing diagnostic solutions and supporting public health initiatives.

Help Shape the Future of Urgent Care Medicine—VOTE for your Board Representatives!

To our members of the College of Urgent Care Medicine (CUCM):

The Nominating Committee of the College of Urgent Care Medicine is pleased to present an outstanding slate for its 2025 Board of Directors election.  Each member of the College gets an individual vote as to who you believe will best represent the voices of our members.

This year’s slate is an impressive one reflective of our membership.  Additionally, as part of the CUCM board’s effort to ensure representation is more reflective of the individuals practicing Urgent Care medicine in our centers, there was a change to our bylaws requiring 30 – 50% of the CUCM Directors are either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant/Associate. Physicians elected to the CUCM Board automatically serve as Directors of both CUCM and the Urgent Care College of Physicians (UCCOP). There is no separate election for UCCOP.

Steps for voting include:

  • Learn about the six candidates who have agreed to serve on the Board if elected.  A webpage has been set up.  Click on their name to learn more about their background and why they have chosen to run.
  • Vote for the three individuals you would like to represent you and CUCM’s mission of advancing the specialty of Urgent Care medicine. You must vote for three which reflects the number of board positions open this year.

As previously announced, the election opens April 14 and will close at noon CDT on May 6, 2025.  CUCM members will receive an email prompting them to vote. Join us in Dallas at the Urgent Care Convention where you can meet the candidates during scheduled meet and greet times as well as at the Member Meeting (May 6). Election results will be announced at the UCA Member Meeting at 5 p.m. on May 6.

We would also like to acknowledge the board volunteers who will be stepping down from the Board.  These individuals were integral to the great progress we have made toward our strategic objectives. Rotating off the board at the close of the convention are:

  • Patrick O’Malley, MD (Treasurer)
  • Michael Weinstock, MD

We extend our most sincere gratitude to these individuals for their service to the Colleges and the field of Urgent Care medicine.
