Full Description

Union efforts targeting physicians and their employers, either individually or jointly, are expected to increase significantly. The American Federation of Teachers has recently initiated a campaign to "organize doctors nationwide," following successful National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) elections by the Doctors Council SEIU. Recent NLRB updates have introduced expedited processes for union elections and recognition, which unions will utilize. Despite these challenges, they can be managed with prompt response plans, proactive and constructive next-generation engagement, and robust adherence to the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).

McDermott Employment and Healthcare Practice Groups invite you to explore the legal implications, challenges, and opportunities surrounding this critical matter.
