There will be a review of the differences between pediatric and adult X-rays and the common misreads.
Radiologist Jonathan Luchs, MD will give urgent care clinicians a better understanding of chest anatomy and pathology and the normal variants demonstrated on X-ray. He will discuss the difference between varying types of X-ray techniques to improve visualization of pathology plus the pitfalls of poor imaging techniques. There will be a review of the differences between pediatric and adult X-rays and the common misreads in both. After this presentation, you will be able to appreciate and differentiate chest X-ray pathology from normal variants, be able to appreciate a good from poor quality chest X-ray and know what to do to improve the a poor quality exam.
