Urgent Care is a unique practice and should be recognized accordingly.
Note: UCA Members receive a 33% discount on Certification.
UCA’s Certified Urgent Care (CUC) program recognizes Urgent Care centers that meet nationally standardized criteria to demonstrate their commitment to the scope of service of a qualified Urgent Care center.
This designation tells the public and payers that the Urgent Care center’s scope of service is consistent with criteria, defining easy access and services that treat a broad spectrum of illness, injury and disease.
Urgent Care centers with the CUC designation have a mark of distinction to educate their community and stakeholders, gain an edge in marketing their level of services and eliminate confusion with other specialties.

Just getting started and haven’t opened yet? Ask about our Early Certification Program. This program grants you provisional Certification prior to opening to assist in meeting regulatory and credentialing requirements. Questions?
New to UCA’s Quality Program? Simply email us at quality@ucaoa.org to begin the application process. Make sure to include the program of interest, your organization’s legal name, key contact (full name, email address, and phone number), and number of centers. Need to renew? Log into UCA’s portal and access the application from the key contact’s profile page. Renewing organizations should apply eight months prior to expiration.
Once the application is complete and payment is confirmed, you will receive a welcome email with a link to the Quality Programs Resource Center containing resources to assist in the Certification process. Documentation demonstrating compliance with Certification criteria is uploaded to the UCA portal for review.
Once the document is reviewed and compliance is confirmed, certification is granted for 36 months from the date of application (initial centers) or expiration of prior cycle (renewing centers). Adding a center? Centers within the same organization are given co-terminus certification cycles for fast, easy renewel.
