The Call for Speakers has CLOSED, as of 10/15/2022, for our 2023 Urgent Care Convention.

If your proposal was not chosen or you missed our deadline for proposal, we invite you to add your name to our database and will we contact you with future opportunities.

 

If your proposal was chosen, please get started on your speaker tasks below. Thank you again for contributing to the learning experience of our convention attendees.

Task 1 – Initial Information Due 01/15/2023

Note: If you submitted a “Call for Speakers Proposal” you may skip this step.

Task 2 – Paperwork Due 01/31/2023

Note: A convention registration link and discount code (if applicable) will be sent to you upon receipt of your speaker agreement

Task 3 – Due 02/15/2023 – Start Developing Your Presentation

 

Developing your content and presentation:

Engagement tools (such as Q&A and live polling) are available with our event software, click here to watch a short demo video (3 min). All speakers will be setup as moderators, to add additional moderators, contact our team.

If you want to use these features, draft your poll questions ahead of time; you will be granted Cvent access prior to the event to setup your polls. Here are instructions:

Room Setup:

  • Screen
  • 24″ riser stage
  • Podium/tall table
  • Laptop
  • Pointer/clicker
  • Lavalier mic(s)
  • Audience mic
  • Tables/chairs classroom style

Task 4 – Draft Presentation Due 03/01/2023

Review Process

The UCA learning team will insert comments into your presentation for Required Changes and for Recommended Changes. An email will be sent to you to review comments and then any changes can be made directly in the OneDrive, no need to upload new versions. To learn more about how comments work, click here.

All clinical presentations will be peer reviewed to follow ACCME requirements.

Accreditation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the Urgent Care Association and the College of Urgent Care Medicine. The Urgent Care Association is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Task 5 – Final Presentation Due 03/19/2023

  • All required changes should be completed.
  • All recommended changes should be completed,  if desired.

Note: After this date, all presentations will be uploaded to our convention site for the tech team and the event site for attendees.

The preparation and delivery of your presentation is eligible for CME.

Designation Statement

The Urgent Care Association designates this speaker preparation activity for a maximum of 4 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM per 1 hour of presentation delivery. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Accreditation Statement

The Urgent Care Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
