UCA’s newest Grassroots Advocacy thought leader group, the Delegates Council, is off to a great start. Comprised of leaders from UCA member organizations with 1-30 centers, they are focused on driving grassroots efforts, safeguarding local legislative interests and advocating for payment reform. There were some fantastic discussions during this year’s Assembly in Miami, and the group’s first quarterly virtual meeting is set for October. We’re grateful for their passion and dedication to securing a bright future for Urgent Care.
The Delegates Council was established to ensure that the voices of small and medium-sized Urgent Care centers are heard in shaping the future of the industry. Often, smaller organizations can face challenges in navigating legislative changes and regulatory pressures that larger organizations are better equipped to handle. The Delegates Council gives these smaller organizations a platform to collaborate, share best practices, and amplify their collective voice to influence policies that impact them directly.
The Council’s members are passionate about preserving the unique role Urgent Care plays in the healthcare landscape and are committed to their role in advocating for fair reimbursement and sustainable policies that support the growth and success of Urgent Care.
The Delegates Council made its debut during The Assembly in Miami, where members engaged enthusiastic discussions about the future of Urgent Care, from local legislative priorities to the evolving landscape of payment reform, the council quickly established itself as an essential think tank for Urgent Care Advocacy. The Assembly provided a space for delegates to collaborate, share insights and begin to form strategies that will guide the group’s work moving forward.
Building on the momentum from Miami, the Delegates Council is now preparing for its first quarterly virtual meeting, scheduled for October. This meeting will be an opportunity for council members to further refine their Advocacy strategies, exchange ideas on how to address pressing challenges, and collaborate on initiatives that support UCA’s broader mission of advancing Urgent Care
The launch of the Delegates Council represents a significant piece of the puzzle in UCA’s efforts to advocate for the Urgent Care community at large. We look forward to seeing the incredible impact they will have on the future of Urgent Care.
Stay tuned for updates from their upcoming meetings.
