Luis de la Prida is a Managing Partner and Principal of The NYBB Group and NYBB Commercial Real Estate, Inc. He works closely with clients looking for an intermediary to represent them in the purchase or sale of a business or real estate. Luis represents clients across all industries, with specialties in healthcare, particularly, Urgent Care, and business services.
Luis has almost two decades of urgent care industry experience. He was previously the Chief Operating Officer of Island Urgent Medical Care. In this capacity, he presided over a multi-million-dollar operating budget and helped acquire seven medical practices. He also launched several organic initiatives that transformed the practice into a large multi-specialty medical group focused on Urgent Care, primary care, cardiology, neurology, and home care.
Luis is currently President of the Urgent Care Foundation, and an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors of the Urgent Care Association. Luis is also a Board member of the North-East Regional Urgent Care Association. In these capacities, he has worked alongside leaders in the industry, exhibited at various conferences, and taught several classes on mergers and acquisitions. He also served as a reviewer for the Journal of Urgent Care Medicine.
Luis is a member of the Alliance of Merger and Acquisition Advisors (AM&AA). He serves as the chairman of the Membership committee and serves on the Ambassador and Chapter Leaders’ committees. He co-chairs the AM&AA Long Island Chapter, which he founded. Luis is a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) with over 30 years of successful experience advising middle market businesses and Fortune 500 companies.
Luis previously founded successful management consulting and financial advisory and insurance businesses. He also spent nearly a decade on Wall Street, where he gained valuable international experience in various financial roles at J.P. Morgan and Credit Suisse First Boston.
Luis is a national presenter and author on matters of mergers and acquisitions. His thoughts and commentary have been featured in the Journal of Urgent Care Medicine, Becker’s Hospital Review, Healthcaremanda.com, Fierce Healthcare, and Rehab Management Magazine, among others.
Luis earned his MBA from New York University, where he majored in Finance and Accounting. He has an undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science from Fordham University.
